International Law Weekend highlights international environmental law issues.

On October 21-23, 2010, the American Branch of the International Law Association and the International Law Students Association will present the annual International Law Weekend (“ILW”) at Fordham Law School.  This event is free for students(!) and features several panel discussions on international environmental issues, including:

  • Climate Change, Energy and the Implications for International Law — Friday, October 22 at 10:45 AM.
  • Legal Mechanisms for Advancing Environmental Human Rights and Environmental Security — Friday, October 22 at 12:30 PM.
  • Behind the Red Curtain: Environmental Concerns in the End of Communism — Saturday, October 23 at 9:00 AM
  • Protecting the Most Vulnerable from Environmental Harm — Saturday, October 23 at 10:45 AM.

There event will also host a career fair which will include discussions about career opportunities in international law, and the career outlook in environmental law.
